Layout
Only the grey partitions can be hacked, with HDB's renovation permit and an HDB-registered contractor. The beam over the kitchen/yard partition stays; check on site for beams over the bedroom walls. Black walls, the shelter and the facade cannot be touched. The hob and hood cannot move into the yard.
Kitchen and yard floor
Your kitchen and yard come with HDB tiles. A new floor goes on top of them; keep it under 50 mm thick so the doors still close.
Bathroom floor
The HDB bathroom tiles cannot be hacked for 3 years after key collection, so a new floor is tiled over them. The shelter keeps its HDB tiles.
